Hydrolysed Collagen Powder
Collagen is a natural skeletal protein and one of the body’s most abundant components, making up nearly 80% of your skin, muscles and connective tissue. It is thought that your collagen levels deplete at a rate of 1.5% per annum from the age of 25. This means that by the age of 35 your body will have lost 15% of its collagen and by 45, 30% of it. When this is happening, you start to notice changes in your skin’s elasticity and texture, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles appearing.
It is therefore beneficial to supplement with collagen to help support the ageing process. However, the type of collagen that you supplement with, is very important. The collagen molecule is enormous and therefore it is too big to be absorbed when ingested and this will result in it never reaching the dermis, to do its job. Col-Boozt uses hydrolysed marine collagen to ensure that your body is able to absorb and utilise the collagen within it.
Why Hydrolysed Marine Collagen?
Hydrolysed Marine Collagen is absorbed quickly into the body and is able to make its way to the areas that it is most needed. This is critical in the effectiveness of any supplement. The more bioavailable it is (the ability of your body to absorb it) the better your body can utilise it and therefore the better your results will be.
Col-Boozt uses NaticolⓇ a type I fish collagen peptide, produced by enzymatic hydrolysis. It is a mixture of peptides with various molecular weights including some dipeptides and tripeptides. By using this it is giving the following advantages over other collagen sources:
- bioavailability - it provides the appropriate amino acids which make up the collagen in the body. The low molecular weights grades allow absorption into the bloodstream after digestion
- quality and traceability - this is produced in Europe under ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standards
- safety - the ionic demineralization and filtrations assure the maximum purity and a high collagen ratio (98%-99% on a dry matter basis). Sterilisation guarantees low bacteria.
Col-Boozt also contains Hyaluronic Acid to help plump out the skin. The one used in Col-Boost is Sodium Hyaluronate - the salt form of Hyaluronic Acid. This is a water soluble salt and holds 1000 times its weight in water. This also means that the Hyaluronic Acid is more stable and less likely to oxidise. The molecule size of the Sodium Hyaluronate is much lower than the standard Hyaluronic Acid molecule and this allows it to penetrate better.
Col-Boozt also contains other ingredients that have more benefits
Vitamin C - this contributes to normal collagen formation for the function of skin, bones and cartilage
Riboflavin, Biotin & Niacin which help with the maintenance of normal skin
Biotin with helps with hair
